Do you take Insurance?

At Journey Pain Free, we currently do not contract with any insurance. We are a cash based clinic and do not contract or accept any insurance plans. We can, however, create a superbill for you to submit to your insurance on your own, so you can try to get reimbursed on your own accord.

Do you take Medicare?

At Journey Pain Free, we currently do not contract with Medicare.  We are a cash based clinic and do not contract or accept any insurance plans, including Medicare.  Due to strict Medicare rules, if you do have medicare for physical therapy, we are unable to see you at our cash rate except for specific circumstances regarding physical therapy. We can, however, work with you on aspects Medicare does not cover such as uncovered fitness and wellness services. In these areas, we can work with you with your balance, strengthening and some stretching.

Do I need a Doctor's Prescription?

Because of Direct Access, and the fact that we are not based on insurance, we do NOT need a prescription from your Medical Doctor. If, however, the situation requires, you may be referred to a doctor. Physical therapists do work closely with physicians to make sure you get the best care!

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, we do offer payment plans. We take all major credit cards, debit cards, and we can set up a payment plan that works for you. This can be discussed with your physical therapist. Payment plans are automatic payments that must be paid automatically.

Will I be handed off to an aide or a volunteer during my treatment?

No. Here at Journey Pain Free, we provide you with one on one treatment for the entirety of your session!

How many sessions will I need?

Your physical therapist will perform a thorough evaluation and assessment to determine how many visits are appropriate for your care. Most patients do well with 5-12 visits depending on how long they have been dealing with their pain and symptoms.

Does physical therapy actually work?

Yes!!! Physical Therapy DEFINITELY works! The only thing is that it takes time....it is so easy to get discouraged when things aren't improving as fast as we want them to, especially with chronic pain. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel! It is there! It just takes the right treatment, time, and the right team. In the holistic approach to physical therapy, we will work with you as well as other professionals if needed.

What should I wear to my first visit?

Physical therapy is...physical. You should wear active clothing, able to show the affected body part.
